About EPU Engineering

EPU Engineering LLC is a railroad engineering firm based in Jacksonville, Florida. We deliver three things: railroad signaling, research & development, and consulting — with RWTS™ as our current flagship. Founded in 2018 and led by a principal signal engineer and engineer of record on Class I projects, EPU was built by engineers who've lived the interoperability problem firsthand, not studied it from a product roadmap.

EPU is a Florida-Certified Veteran Business Enterprise, certified by the Florida Department of Management Services, and is pursuing Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) certification through SBA VetCert.

As engineer of record at prior firms — including Interrail Inc., RJ Corman Signaling, Signal South Engineering, and Progress Rail Services — EPU's principal has engineered signal systems for CSX, BNSF, Norfolk Southern, Union Pacific, Canadian National, CONRAIL, and regional and short-line carriers across North America.

Scalable team. Beyond our core leadership, EPU maintains a standing bench of vetted railroad engineering partners — signal engineers, designers, and signaling construction subject-matter experts — available through subcontract or direct engagement. Team size scales to match project scope.
